The Beacon Way Bloxwich
A sold out Beatles Show that needed an extra date (two days later) but due to a much needed rest we had to decline!
A big thank you to Lusty Springfield and a fantastic performance. Our regular support usually has three to five weeks between each support slot but always performs perfectly like its her day job. Us Beatles tried some new songs out, including the Sgt Pepper Reprise which was cheered, as was Hey Bulldog. I'm suprised how we remember the chords to that song, only performing it every two months. A new George song Something also worked really well as a smoochie smoochie song at the end. Yesterday, as sung by Two Tone McCarthy is becoming a crowd favourite too. Big thank you to the venue for having us, Dave & Freya for taking our pictures and video! The Royal Oak StudleyJust a quick little post about our gig at The Royal Oak in Studley. Studley, a place where single women rush to to find men with stamina in the bedroom but find that its a town just like any other town. Only this town enjoys and respects music! One Man & His Dog
After a short break last month, the Naked Beatles return to kick off their 'Unremastered Tour' at the One Man & His Dog in Bloxwich.
We knew this was a posh side of walsall as the Co Op didn't have bouncers, which was conveniently located next to the pub! Our first half was pretty tight and we noticed how excellent the sound was in the pub. Second half we tried a few different things, mashing up a few songs to get more in and the crowd, which was getting quite large and loud were in full singing mode! Great gig and most of all we were treated so well by the staff at every request. Thank YOU for that. So, we hope to return and if you enjoyed the night, please let them know, us know,or your local venue!! J. Lennon B Goode Church Hill Social 19th Feb

Thank you to everyone who booked tickets and sorry to everyone who couldn't get one! A Fantastic night had by all, including us. So excited were the band that we trashed our dressing room, spilling root beer and throwing knifes. The only complaints I heard was from people who couldn't find a seat. Oh, and that we didn't do Yer Blues. What would we want to play that noisy song for?! Kings Arms 5th February 2011
Fantastic Naked Beatles Gig last night at the Kings Arms.
A packed pub with many Beatles fans, singing along and enjoying even the most rare of our Beatle songs. Of all the comments we had last night, the best one was 'Hey Bulldog; did you use a backing track on that song?' Unless the band are keeping something from me, ...no we didn't...! Thank you to everyone who came to see us last night, it means a lot. A whole lot! John Lennon B Goode The Feathers 17th Dec 2010
What a shame our gig in Bridgnorth had to be cancelled but looking at the weather, hour by hour, the right decision was made.
Last night was a blast. Without doubt, the best first half ever performed by the Nakeds' at the club thats becoming a well attended music venue in the midlands. And its free. Look out for new photos and videos to be posted on our site and facebook page. Gig 14th Dec 2010
The Naked Beatles Fantastic gig, 14th Dec at The Robin with Ballroom Glitz.
Tonight was a 'Half Naked' Spot with just John Lennon B Goode & Two Tone McCarthy, featuring a dozen songs on acoustic guitar including an almost spot on match to the original performance of 'Two of Us' and a solo song from Mccarthy, Blackbird. You've got to hide... your love away featuring a tambourine and a slow and easy version of She Loves You. Thank you to ballroom for having us play, always a pleasure and Bill on sound at the Robin, perfection... (Lennon & McCarthy) |
